Whether staying a weekend, a month or a lifetime, Coshocton, Ohio, offers an array of activities to suit many tastes.

Historic Roscoe Village. Enter this restored 1800s canal town and you'll learn how Roscoe was once a bustling center of commerce on the Ohio/Erie Canal. Take a Living History tour where you'll meet an 1800s doctor, watch a working blacksmith, practice your writing skills in a one-room schoolhouse and meet many other period craftsmen and artisans.

The Shops of Roscoe Village. Stroll historic Whitewoman Street and browse through unique and enchanting shops featuring fine wares such as Amish-made furniture, hand-crafted leather, garden accessories, fine candies, baskets, beautiful home decor and much more. Refresh at the local pub or have a relaxing meal in one of our two restaurants.

Wildwood Music, 672 N. Whitewoman Street, Roscoe Village, is housed in the historic Lockkeeper's House and is the place to go for your acoustical instruments, including Guitars, Banjos, Hammered Dulcimers, and Mountain Dulcimers. (740-622-4224)

The Monticello III Canal Boat. A serene ride along a restored section of the Ohio/Erie canal. You'll imagine what life would have been like as you listen to old canal tales from the captain. The hoggee leads the team of horses down the towpath as you relax and enjoy the natural beauty of the canal as it once was.

Coshocton Lake Park Aquatic Center, with 17,000 sq. ft. of swim area, a water play gym, waterfalls, tunnels, body slides and tube slides.  It is located 18 miles from I-77 in central Ohio on State Route 83 North, 1 mile off U.S. Route 36 in Coshocton, Ohio, near Historic Roscoe Villiage. 

The Johnson-Humrickhouse Museum. Hidden, historic and headline news. An odd description of a small town museum. Four of the five galleries display collections of ancient Asian, Native American, Euro-American and historic Ohio artifacts. A popular exhibit is the Newark Holy Stones, which are controversial stones uncovered in prehistoric Indian Mounds in the 1860s and inscribed in Hebrew. Nationally-accredited.

Coshocton Airport Amphitheater. Located near Coshocton's Richard Downing Airport. 2011 Season opens on July 9 with the Family Fun Day.

Clary Gardens. 20 acres of rolling hills, woodland trails with sandstone outcroppings, springhouse, ponds and a growing collection of native and exotic plants. Free Admission.

Shadybend Manor. Fine Victorian dining at its best is served within the 1874 Italianate Manor House.  This home is being restored, decorated and furnished with fine period walnut furniture and accessories to create a mood of bygone days. The same attention to detail and preparation is employed in the dining area. Wine & Cheese. Coshocton boasts five charming wineries: Raven's Glenn Winery & Italian Restaurant nestled on the scenic Tuscarawas River, Rainbow Hills Winery with great steak cookouts (740-545-9305), Shawnee Springs Winery & Catering, Heritage Vineyard Winery & Guest House and the newest, Yellow Butterfly Winery. Pair your wine purchases with some award-winning cheese from Pearl Valley Cheese where you can select from over 25 varieties or stop by The Unusual Junction and peruse their gourmet deli and eclectic collection of hot sauces.

Heritage Quilt Barn Trail. The Coshocton County Heritage Quilt Barns tell a local history through the reproduction of old family quilt patterns and family stories. The SR 643 Trail begins in New Bedford with its predominantly Amish population–winds through farm country maintained by horse powered farming traditions–passes between Roscoe Village (a herald of the industrial era) and Coshocton (a vital industrial era town)–and comes to an end at Clary Gardens with its 'green'/new age watering system. A delightful 22.2 mile drive through history!

Woodbury Wildlife Area. The largest public wildlife area in Ohio with over 20,000 acres managed by the Ohio Dept. of Natural Resources. Activities include hunting, fishing, bird watching, hiking, picnicking and primitive camping. The Area also features a Class A shooting range and a walk-through archery trail. Purchase permits for the shooting range where you buy your hunting and fishing licenses. Access to Woodbury is free.  Woodbury Shooting Range is located at 41384 State Rt 541, Warsaw (740-327-2109).

Pomerene Center for the Arts. Throughout our 25 years of operation, the Center has been renovated to provide 4 formal exhibition galleries, a resident artist's studio and a media arts lab. A large garage at the back of the property has been converted into the Bachert Studio suitable for class instruction during the spring, summer and fall months. A basement studio space is used year round.

Medbery Marketplace. Situated in the middle of Historic Roscoe Village, it features 3 levels of unique shopping, famous coney dogs, homemade frozen custard ice cream, indoor/outdoor dining. gourmet groceries and Amish bulk foods.

Universe Bridal and Prom Store. Located at The Unusual Junction, this bridal super-store is a one-stop shopping extravaganza. Open daily. 

Gospel Hill Lighthouse. The country's largest inland lighthouse. Built by Gospel Hill Ministries, the lighthouse is open daily. Free admission.

Central Ohio Technical College. The COTC Coshocto Campus is a collaborative higher edcation partnership with Muskingum University and other institutions.

Walhonding Valley Historical Society and Museum. The old Warsaw Hotel is being renovated to its former glory and will house the Museum in 2011. Located at 102 E. Main St. in Warsaw. 74-824-4000.

Hilltop Golf Course.  18 hole public golf course located in the Coshocton Lake Park District, 23253 S.R. 83, Coshocton.  740-622-8083.

River Greens Golf Course.  Public golfing with 27 holes located at 22749 State Rte 751, West Lafayette. 740-545-7817, 888-584-4495.

Hickory Flat Greens.  18 hole public golf course located at 54188 T.R. 155, West Lafayette. 740-545-7796.
