The Coshocton Business and Professional Women (BPW) will hold their 5th Annual Cake Auction at the Coshocton Civic Center, beginning at 7:30 p.m. Mary Mason from Agents Realty and Auction Service will be the auctioneer. Payment may be made by cash, check or credit card. Come and join BPW for an evening that promises to be a feast for your eyes and appetite.
BPW will also provide a great evening of entertainment with Larry Stahl and his Country Boys who are back by popular demand, performing from 4-7:30 p.m. playing square dances, round dances, and cake walks.
Not only is Coshocton home to a wide variety of wineries, but dining there is also exceptional!
Start off at Raven's Glenn Winery and Italian Restaurant for a Sunday Champagne Brunch or a tantalizing lunch or dinner. Known for their traditional Italian family recipes (as well as their award-winning wines) all set in a picturesque location. Attire is always casual. Raven's Glenn Winery was recently awarded the EODA Excellence Award for Tourism.
Heritage Vineyard Winery will once again feature their Saturday Evening Cook-outs. This cook-your-own-entree dinner includes: Choice of New York Strip Steak or Chicken Breast, Salad, Baked Potato, Rolls and Dessert for only $20.50 Per Person ($49.95-50.95 for a couple w/ 1 bottle wine). The final event for this season is the 2010 Wine Festival on Saturday, September 11, a fundraiser benefitting the Coshocton Airport Amphitheater. The event, located on the historic Coshocton County Courtsquare, will feature 8 of Ohio's fine wineries, great food and lively entertainment. Admission is $7.00 and includes a commemorative wine glass, tasting tickets are .75 each and Youth, 12 & Under are free.
The Coshocton County Heritage Quilt Barns tell a local history through the reproduction of old family quilt patterns and family stories.
The SR 643 Trail begins in New Bedford with its predominantly Amish population–winds through farm country maintained by horse powered farming traditions–passes between Roscoe Village and Coshocton –and comes to an end at Clary Gardens with its 'green'/new age watering system. A delightful 22 mile drive through history!
