Tiverton Institute – Celebrating America 250!

The 2026 Tiverton Institute will be held Wednesday, March 4 and Thursday, March 5 This year the programs are focused on the celebration of America 250 and feature both Coshocton County and American History with lectures, stories, music and historical interpretations. Held at the Tiverton Grange Hall,  located at the intersection of County Road 20 & State Route 206, next to the township building. This event is free and all are welcome to attend.  Homeschool families are encouraged to attend. The Tiverton Institute has been held for 123 years! The community gathering features educational speakers on topics like agriculture, local and American history, and community improvement. It offers neighbors and friends a chance to socialize and celebrate America’s 250th birthday. The free event includes long-standing traditions like baking and poster contests, group singing and pot-luck lunches and a soup supper. All are welcome to attend! Contests: Baking: Cherry Pie for Adults Chocolate Brownies for children 16 and under.
