In Coshocton County, there is quite literally everything you need to have the wedding of your dreams! From dresses to wedding rings, churches to outdoor venues, places for amazing bachelor and bachelorette parties to an array of florists. Whatever you want for your big day, Coshocton surely has it covered!
The first step in popping the question is having the ring picked out! Coshocton has two jewelers which both have been family-led companies for three generations. Located right in Historic Roscoe Village is the House of G.A. Fisher, which thrives to pick out American-made stones for their jewelry. Dean’s Jewelry has two locations, their first one being opened in Coshocton, and they opened another location in Mount Vernon. Dean’s family has traveled to locations in India where they have hand selected unique stones for their jewelry. Both jeweler companies offer an array of amazing engagement rings, wedding bands, and have pleasant, welcoming staff!
After the “yes” is said, there are many steps to planning the perfect wedding. Picking a venue is one of the most vital steps so the dates are set and the rest of the magical day can be planned. Coshocton County is home to many beautiful locations to host both the ceremony, and the reception. How many people do you know that have been married on a canal boat? With the help of the Monticello III Canal Boat, you are able to have your ceremony while the horses draw the boat down the canal! Other venues available for the ceremony include the Coshocton Gazebo in town square, Yellow Butterfly Winery, Coshocton Village Inn & Suites, Schumaker Farms, and various gardens throughout Coshocton.
One place in particular that is one of Coshocton’s pride and joy is Clary Gardens. Clary Gardens has been ranked #1 Garden Wedding Venue in Ohio and has been featured in Ohio Magazine as “Garden Inspiration” in 2021. The gardens overflow with beautiful flowers, there is an in-ground amphitheater where the ceremony can be held, and a newly added pavilion that can host hundreds of people. The gardens are closed to the public for the ceremony so everyone can enjoy privacy on the big day.
Next up on planning the perfect Coshocton Wedding, is deciding what to wear! For the gentleman, there are two places available to rent tuxedos from; Nikko’s Limousine and Tuxedo Rental, and Carroll’s Men’s Shop. They offer suits and tuxedos in a range of different colors and styles, and work to accommodate the entire bridal party. For the ladies, there’s almost any dress imaginable at Universe Bridal & Prom Superstore. From lace, to tulle, to long trains, to sleek, to modest. Universe has what nearly any bride could hope to imagine for their big day. They have a wide selection of sizes, and they also carry a wide variety of bridesmaid dresses as well! Be sure to book an appointment with them for your big day and they’ll make sure all your needs are met!
So now you have the rings, the outfits, the venue – other things that are important to get in order are the menu, music/entertainment, flowers, and lodging. Coshocton hosts many catering services ranging from delicious pulled pork from Schumaker Farms, to finer food from Raven’s Glenn Winery. Other delicious caterers include Buehelers, Medbery Marketplace, and Warehouse Steak n’ Stein, and they all offer something delicious and unique to cater to your big day (see what I did there?)! Don’t forget about the cake! Hannah Marie’s has some of the most beautiful creations ever seen, and recommends cake tasting so you get the cake for your big day just right! If you are looking for a classic, traditional style cake, Tina’s Sweet Celebrations might be perfect for you! Another fantastic baker is Sweet Smyles Bakery! They specialize in cookies, cakes, and they plan out events ahead of time to make the most incredible work for your big day (or even bachelorette party)!
Some people enjoy a classy affair when it comes to the ceremony and reception, some like it to be a whole party! Never fear though, because Coshocton’s different entertainment services can fulfill everyone’s needs! Mega Music DJ Services offers the party atmosphere and includes add-ons like light shows to their events. Another service provider is Mike Bechtol’s Music Service, who is a seasoned disk-jockey who specializes in Wedding receptions and adapts to whatever the wedding party wishes for on their big day. There are also many local talents that would love to play at your wedding, to find some names, get in contact with the various wineries or the Coshocton KOA!
Flowers, flowers galore! Between Haley’s Floral Studio, Kiefer Florist Studio, and Linnets Flowers, there are bouquets abound available with many different flowers, styles, and arrangements. From timeless and classic, to unique and vibrant, Haley’s Floral Studio does it all! They work to match your flowers to your big day and can deck out your entire bridal party as well. If you are looking for something absolutely exquisite and elegant, look no further than Kiefer’s Florist Studio! While they offer an array of colors, there is a sophisticated touch to each of their designs. We can’t forget about center-pieces, and what better way to do that than Linnets Flowers. Linnets offers many pretty arrangements that would be perfect for the “I Do!”
Whether you’re bringing in friends and family from out of state, or even just want to spend some time away from home with the wedding party before the big day, Coshocton has you covered. There are many places to stay that range from cabins, to hotels, to bed and breakfasts, to even Airbnb’s.Starting off with the obvious, there’s rooms available to be blocked out for your big day at the Coshocton Village Inn & Suites, but there’s a beautiful cabin called Coshocton Crest Lodge that can hold up to 16 people as well. Coshocton is home to three bed and breakfasts; Apple Butter Inn, Inn at Rainbow Hills, and Medbery Manor! Each offers sweet, relaxing stays for their residents with absolutely delectable breakfasts! There’s a great number of AirBnB’s located around Coshocton that gives everyone a unique stay while at a lower cost. And finally, camping! There is Lake Park and Coshocton KOA that are available for tents, RV’s, or even staying in cabins. No matter how many people you invite, Coshocton has a place for all of them to stay!
One of the final things on the to-do’s before the “I Do”s is having the bachelor and bachelorette parties! There are plenty of places to enjoy and celebrate before the big day for the ladies and gentlemen separate, or combined. For the men, they can enjoy time at Battle Axe Throwing LLC, where they can show feats of strength, have friendly banter and competition. While the men are throwing weapons around, the ladies can partake in the Three Rivers Wine Trail! The trail features eight wineries and a brewery that each offer unique experiences and give the ladies time to unwind on a scenic route throughout Coshocton, Ohio. For either of these options if you’re worried about driving, don’t be! Coshocton is home to two different transportation services: Cork and Tap which specializes in the wine trail and bachelorette parties, and Nikko’s which has limos or buses which can be used for parties, or the big day itself!
When it’s the day of the wedding and all the planning is done, all that’s left to do is to get ready for the wedding! The men can head over to a barber shop; maybe give Lenny’s a visit? They will get the men in your life cleaned up and looking sharp for the wedding photos. While they are doing that, the women can head to Jillian’s Salon! This establishment hosts talented stylists that can make your hair perfect for your big day. They even offer makeup services as well!
