Lost Skills Gathering – Festival of knowledge
Step back into a world where hands met earth, stories filled the air, and life was learned by doing. The Lost Skills Gathering is a one-day, hands-on festival where talented elders and artisans teach the skills, crafts, traditions, and self-sufficient ways our grandparents once used to thrive.
Precious knowledge is shared before it’s forgotten — preserving connection, resilience, and the wisdom that sustains and preservers. The Lost Skills Gathering transforms one unforgettable day into a celebration of tradition, resilience, and hands-on learning.
Learn the skills your grandparents once used to thrive. Hear elders share their wisdom through stories, hands-on instruction, and live demonstrations. The festival features more than 50 timeless skills — including craftwork, fiber arts, homesteading and self-sufficiency .

The festival was amazing. I met so many wonderful people and bought lots of fun things. I loved it all but particularly liked talking to the Wakatomika Dealer and the Gay Yarn team. Beautiful yarn! Dancing Woods Deep Earth Mocha was wonderful and unique. Can’t say enough good things about this event.
We’re so glad to hear that you enjoyed the event and we will pass the feedback on to the Lost Skills team! 🙂
Loved the Dancing Woods finishing salt too and her display was so well thought out and beautifully done.
